Laoise began playing tin whistle and fiddle with Beaumont Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann at the age of 5. At age 8, Laoise began singing with RTÉ Cór na nÓg, where she began learning music theory and piano. Laoise was involved in choirs and musical groups throughout school and was Dominican College’s Music Perfect and Academic Achievement in Music Award recipient.

Laoise studied International Bachelors’ degree in Music and German at Maynooth University where she received the Maynooth University Entrance Award for Academic Excellence. She also studied at Universität Bonn, Germany, where she was part of the Bonner Jazz Chor. During her time at Maynooth University, she studied piano, as well as modules in vocal performance, music history, jazz, harmony, and counterpoint.

While at university, Laoise performed in numerous musicals as well as composed and directed various productions and competitive pieces. Laoise has also worked in musical direction with the British Youth Music Theatre in Belfast and Leeds.

Laoise has been teaching piano and voice for 5 years and has worked as a Music Specialist in a nursery in London. Laoise is passionate about performance and creativity and hopes to share this love with Keys & Strings students
