Rory Costello has been teaching at Keys & Strings School of Music since January 2016. He is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music and Drama DIT with a bachelor’s in music and a master’s in music performance.

From the age of seven, Rory began learning piano, guitar, bass guitar.

Rory started his classical vocal training at the age of sixteen and since then has performed in many operas and concerts around Ireland. He has performed in many prestigious venues such as The National Concert Hall, The Gaiety, The Three Arena and the Belfast Opera House.

In 2016 Rory won the Bradbury Cup and the Bass Vocal competition for singing and playing the piano at the national music competition festival, the Feis Ceoil. 

In February 2016 Rory made his debut in St. Stephen’s Cathedral Vienna Austria as a bass soloist singing Mozart’s Mass in C with the Galway Tribal Choir accompanied by the Wiener Domorchester orchestra.

Rory has a great passion for teaching and hopes to pass on his dedication to the art of music performance and learning to his students for many years to come.
