In Keys & Strings we strongly believe that students at any age can learn how to play an instrument as well as singing. We recognise that musical education is a lifelong journey, and we are committed to providing adults with the tailored guidance and supportive environment necessary to explore and master new instruments or enhance their vocal abilities, regardless of their previous experience.
In the initial stages of the classes, we ensure to establish motivational goals and learning needs of adult learners in order to guide their tuition in the right direction.
Whether our students want to learn an instrument for pleasure or in order to do the exams, it is our goal to deliver the highest level of learning and teaching. Our specialty lies in providing the highest standard of music education, ensuring that students maintain proper posture and achieve a high technical proficiency.
Additionally, we place a strong emphasis on developing music reading skills, improvisation, and the ability to interpret music creatively, fostering both technical proficiency and imaginative expression.
We take great pride in the accomplishments of our adult students, who over the past nine years have consistently earned top marks in exams from the Royal Irish Academy of Music and excelled in music competitions, including Feis Ceoil. Additionally, some of our adult learners have gone on to pursue degrees in music and have been instrumental in establishing local music initiatives, such as choirs, enriching the cultural fabric of our community.
In Keys & Strings we provide classes for adult learners in variety of instruments in genres such as classical, popular, rock and Irish traditional. Our teachers are qualified to a third level in music and are Garda vetted.
