RIAM Practical Recorded Exams
If you have received a text informing you that your child—or you, as an adult student— are ready to sit the Royal Irish Academy Recorded Exam, and you wish for us to proceed with the exam application, please confirm by sending us a message by 31st of January 5pm. The exam will be recorded by our teachers during class. Alternatively, students may choose to record the exam themselves at home.
Along with your confirmation, kindly provide the following information:
1. Full name to appear on the certificate.
2. Learning needs or disabilities (if applicable).
Please note that, violin, flute, and singing students must record the exam with a piano accompanist and possibly rehearse with piano accompaniment before the exam. A professional piano accompanist will be provided, and an additional fee applies:
- Rehearsal: All instruments and Classical Singing (up to grade 5) €25 for 30 minutes, Musical theatre singing students and all students grades 6-8 ) €35 for 45 minutes.
- Recording: 30 minutes €25 (up to grade 5 all instruments and classical singing). 45 minutes €35 (grades 5 + and all musical theatre students).
Exam fees can be paid via our website or Bank Transfer to the schools’ account.
