Ellen

EARLY MUSIC EDUCATION CLASSES & FLUTE

Ellen began to learn classical flute from a young age. She has also studied Irish music and played violin in a traditional Irish group as a teenager.

In her sixth year in Loreto secondary school, Ellen was chosen to be the schools’ Music Captain and won the Senior Music Student award. During her school years, Ellen was also a member of the Julianstown Youth Orchestra.

Ellen is a Bachelor of Music Education student at Trinity College Dublin and the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Her principal instrument is the classical flute.

Ellen recently completed a semester abroad at the Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, Hungary, where she had the opportunity to immerse herself in the Kodály approach to music education and develop her love of choral singing.

Ellen currently sings in the Trinity College Singers, the TCD Chapel Choir, and the RIAM Chorale. She is passionate about music education and enjoys sharing her love of music with her students.
