PIANO, GUITAR, BANJO, SINGING & UKULELE

Laura began piano and music theory lessons at the age of seven. She is a classically trained as well as a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, who also plays keyboards, guitar, banjo, and ukulele.

Laura completed early Pianoforte grades with the Royal Irish Academy of Music and senior grades with the Leinster School of Music & Drama, which she was awarded the Sheila Murphy Scholarship for. She completed Postgraduate Higher Diploma in Music Education and Licentiate Diploma at LSMD at Griffith College Dublin in 2016. Throughout her time in college, Laura studied Pedagogy, Performance, Composition & Musicianship Skills as well as Music Technology and Music Therapy.

With 10 years of industry experience as a professional keyboard player, Laura has performed ska, reggae, pop/rock with a number of bands at various venues and festivals across Ireland and Europe.

Laura has been teaching piano for over seven years, and her students have a proven track record of achieving excellent results. In recent years, Laura has also run a short series of Dalcroze inspired Music Therapy workshops for children with ASD.

Laura believes her ability to teach herself other instruments is accredited to her foundations in classical piano. She loves teaching and believes that everyone can learn to play an instrument. She aims to inspire and provide an enjoyable learning experience for all her students.
